CATS: We do not shave cats unless necessary. We are only accepting cat clients at our salon location.
Giving advance notice affords us the opportunity to fill your grooming appointment and enables us to rearrange our schedule. Our automated system will send a text to you of your appointment 72 hours in advance.
Cancellations and reschedules must be made over the phone. We cannot take cancellations or reschedules through social media or email.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call or text us at (530) 558-0642.
We will require that you have your pet on a regular grooming schedule to prevent future matting if you would like to continue our services.
It is our policy not to shave double coated breeds. It is becoming well known within the animal medical community and experienced grooming salons that the shaving of double coated breeds can lead to hair follicle damage and a myriad of skin and coat issues.
It is a myth that shaving your pet short keeps them cooler in the summer. Without their outer coat, they can not regulate their body temperature and are more susceptible to heat stroke and sunburn. When it is hot out, we are all hot.
We will not cut the base coat short or shave down a double coated breed unless it is for a medical reason (we will require a note from a veterinarian) or the coat is heavily matted, and even then, we might suggest your pet be groomed by a veterinarian.
However, we would be happy to get your pet on a shed-less schedule of 4-6 weeks to reduce the shedding or to contour scissor the hair to neaten the coat.
Examples of common double coated breeds we do not shave include but are not limited to:
Golden Retriever, Pomeranian, Chow Chow, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Shetland Sheepdog, Alaskan Malamute, Husky, German Shepherd Dog, Labrador, Pug, Corgi, Chihuahua.
If your pet requires a shave down due to matting, a waiver will be required to be signed by the owner.
Our mint package is only to treat fleas or ticks currently on the pet, it is NOT a preventative and DOES NOT prevent fleas or ticks from jumping back onto your pet.
Please note that fleas and ticks are a health hazard to your pets as well as to humans. If your pet has fleas or ticks, we highly suggest you have your home, your pets bedding, and your yard treated.
Payment is due at time of service.
We will require a credit card on file in order to accept mobile payments.
Our groomers reserve the right to stop the service at any time at their own discretion in the best interest of the pet and the groomer. You will be charged for the work that was done in that time, or the $99 minimum house call fee, whichever is greater.
