We do not require vaccinations for our mobile service.
For services in our salon we require all dogs to be current on Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Adenovirus & Parvovirus vaccines.
We will require current vaccinations to book a salon appt and will call your vet to verify vaccinations. If your pet is too young or can not be vaccinated for any reason, we will recommend our mobile service.
All mobile appointments allow a 1-hour arrival window.
If we are running behind, we will call or text you as soon as possible.
We have a very strict schedule to keep. Since we price by the hour, we begin charging upon the groomers arrival. If no one is home to release the pet within 15 minutes of the groomers arrival, we will charge the cancellation fee and move onto the next job.
We require 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
Failure to call 24 hours in advance will result in a $99 cancellation fee that must be paid prior to your next grooming appointment.
If we show up for an appointment and there is no one home to release the pet, the cancellation fee will also apply.
Giving advance notice gives us the opportunity to fill your grooming appointment and enables us to rearrange our schedule. We will contact you by text to remind you of your appointment in advance.
Cancellations and reschedules must be made over the phone. We cannot take cancellations or reschedules through social media or email.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call or text us at (530) 558-0642.
Excessive de-matting can be painful for the pet and time consuming. Pets with matted coats require extra attention during their appointment. Matts left in the pet’s coat will only grow tighter and larger and can cause secondary skin infections. We will make every effort to keep your pet as stress-free as possible during the de-matting process. In cases of severe matting, your pet might need to be shaved or we may refer you to a vet.
We will require that you have your pet on a regular grooming schedule to prevent future matting if you would like to continue our services.
It is our policy not to shave double coated breeds. It is becoming well known within the animal medical community and experienced grooming salons that the shaving of double coated breeds can lead to hair follicle damage and a myriad of skin and coat issues.
It is a myth that shaving your pet short keeps them cooler in the summer. Without their outer coat, they can not regulate their body temperature and are more susceptible to heat stroke and sunburn.
We will not cut the base coat short or shave down a double coated breed unless it is for a medical reason (we will require a note from a veterinarian) or the coat is heavily matted, and even then, we might suggest your pet be groomed by a veterinarian.
However, we would be happy to get your pet on a shed-less schedule to reduce the shedding or to scissor the hair to neaten the coat.
Examples of common double coated breeds we do not shave:
Golden Retriever, Pomeranian, Chow Chow, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Shetland Sheepdog, Alaskan Malamute, Husky, German Shepherd Dog, Labrador, Pug, Corgi, Chihuahua.
If your pet requires a shave down due to matting, a waiver will be required to be signed by the owner.
If fleas or ticks are found on your pet, we will give your dog our all natural, eucalyptus and mint flea shampoo & conditioner at an additional fee of $10.
Our mint package is only to treat fleas or ticks currently on the pet, it is NOT a preventative and DOES NOT prevent fleas or ticks from jumping back onto your pet.
Please note that fleas and ticks are a health hazard to your pets as well as to humans. If your pet has fleas or ticks, we highly suggest you have your home, your pets bedding, and your yard treated.
If your dog has dry skin, and flakes or rash are seen, we will use a 3 step medicated package to help get the moisture back into your dog’s skin, at an additional charge of $10.
Payment is due at time of service.
We will require a credit card on file in order to accept mobile payments.
We accept cash, card, check, Venmo and Zelle.
We charge a fee for all card and Venmo payments. There will be a $20 Check return fee for bounced checks.
Our groomers reserve the right to stop the service at any time at their own discretion in the best interest of the pet and the groomer. You will be charged for the work that was done in that time, or the $99 minimum house call fee, whichever is greater.
