Because of the nature of what we do, we give a 1-hour arrival window.
Unfortunately, our reminder texts do not state this. Your texts will say we will arrive at the top of the hour, but this is not always the case.
If we are running behind, we will call or text you as soon as we are made aware of this.
We require 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel an appointment.
Failure to call 24 hours in advance will result in a $75 cancellation fee that must be paid prior to your next grooming appointment.
If we show up for an appointment and there is no one home to release the pet, the cancellation fee will also apply.
Giving advance notice gives us the opportunity to fill your grooming appointment and enables us to rearrange our schedule.
We will make every effort to contact you by call, text or email to remind you of your appointment in advance.
Cancellations and reschedules must be made over the phone. We cannot take cancellations or reschedules through Facebook, email or text.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us at (530) 558-0642.
Excessive de-matting can be painful for the pet and time consuming. Pets with matted coats require extra attention during their appointment. Matts left in the pet’s coat will only grow tighter and larger and can cause secondary skin infections. We will make every effort to keep your pet as stress-free as possible during the de-matting process.
In cases of severe matting, we may refer you to a vet.
We will request that you have your pet on a regular grooming schedule to prevent future matting if you would like to continue our services.

It is our policy not to shave double coated breeds. It is becoming well known within the animal medical community and experienced grooming salons that the shave down of double coated breeds can lead to hair loss and a myriad of skin diseases.
We will not cut the hair short or shave down a double coated breed unless it is for a medical reason (we will require a note from a veterinarian) or the coat is heavily matted, and even then, we might suggest your pet be groomed by a veterinarian.
However, we would be happy to get your pet on a shed-less schedule to reduce the shedding or to scissor the hair to neaten the coat.
If your pet requires a shave down due to matting, a waiver will be required to be signed by the owner.
If Fleas are found on your pet, it is our policy to give your dog our all natural, eucalyptus and mint flea shampoo & conditioner at an additional fee of $10.
Our flea package is only to treat fleas currently on the pet, it is NOT a preventative and DOES NOT prevent parasites from jumping back onto your pet.
Please note that parasites are a health hazard to your pets as well as to humans. If your pet has fleas, we highly suggest you have your home, your pets bedding, and your yard treated.
If your dog has dry skin, and flakes or rash are seen, we will use a medicated therapy bath to help get the moisture back into your dog’s skin, at an additional charge of $10.
We use both chemical and mechanical methods of sanitation including Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation.
Good Dog’s owner and most of our groomers have obtained Sanitation Certifications.
***DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS WE ARE BEING EXTRA VIGILANT IN OUR SANITATION STANDARDS.
Payment is due at time of service.
We accept Cash, Card, check, Venmo, and Zelle.
We do charge a 3.5% Credit Card fee. There will be a $20 Check return fee for bounced checks.
Our groomers reserve the right to stop the service at any time at their own discretion in the best interest of the pet and the groomer. You will be charged for the work that was done in that time.
